Cuisine Links Internship Process – Marketing Intern – Rohit Gehlan
Please tell us about your internship procedure at Cuisine Links (Short listing procedure, GDs, Interviews).
All the candidates who applied for the internship were called for the personal interview . The interviewer asked me some basic HR questions to start with and some questions about the company. I was then given a situation and asked to brainstorm and come up with unique solutions and submit the white paper to the interviewer.
What helped you sail through the hurdles and crack one of the finest internships?
I stayed confident and kept my calm which helped me crack the interview.
How did you prepare for the internship season? What advice would you give to your juniors regarding the internship season?
I prepared for some clichéd HR interview questions before the interview. Such questions can be found easily on the internet. I also skimmed through the company’s website to know about the company which proved to be very useful during the interview.
What’s the role of academics in getting a good internship at NSIT?
Oodles of companies having different criteria and requirements visit NSIT . While most of the core companies and some non-tech companies give a lot of importance to the academics, many non-tech companies don’t care much about the academics.
Poor academics reduce your options because of the initial shortlisting based on percentage criteria. So a good percentage gives you the power of being selective in applying for the companies of your choice but a bad one limits your choices.
Would you like to give any general advice to your juniors?
Don’t do anything just for the sake of an additional bullet point on your CV because everything written on the CV has to be justified at the time of the interview. The “fake it till you make it” approach may work for some but it proves to be catastrophic for most. So don’t try to fake anything during the interview.
