Please tell us about your internship procedure at Cuisine links (Short listing procedure, GDs, Interviews).
Meghana Chavan Marketing Intern Cuisine Links There was no specific shortlisting procedure, all the registered students  were called for further process. So the selection process comprised of only  the interview round. Initially, I was asked some general questions about  me and my career plan and there I got an opportunity to explain about  my roles during previous internships and co-curricula’s activities.

What helped you sail through the hurdles and crack one of the  finest internships?

I had been involved in plethora of intellectual and interactive activities  since my school time that helped me in developing confidence and building communication skills, which helped me during the interview. I was very much confident and voluble while answering the questions. I was asked questions about my internship experiences and my role during those, co-curricula’s, social activities and I answered all of them very clearly and confidently.

How did you prepare for the internship season? What advice would you give to your juniors regarding the internship season?

I used to read opinions on Quora from where I learnt about people’s interview experiences and interview questions and I used to prepare my answers for those questions. Along with this, I continued to take parts in debates, managerial events etc. that helped me enhance my communication skills.

What’s the role of academics in getting a good internship at NSIT?

Academics are important but they are not the only ones. One must be involved in co-curricula’s also as they aggrandize your overall profile and lifts your morale. Yes, to be eligible for some companies, especially technical companies, one needs to have 65 or 70+ percentage. One can balance out the low percentage with co-curricula’s, internships and projects, though those are not complete replacement for acads as your percentage is a decisive factor if you can apply for that particular company or not.

What all internships and projects you did while in NSIT? How did you get them?

I did a couple of non-technical internships. One with Nurture Talent Academy as Marketing Trainee and another with PVC as Data Analyst Trainee. I got one of them through Internshala and the another one was from recommendation by my team leader of previous company I interned with. I am involved in a statistical project and that is the only one project I did in college. I also interned with Johnson Controls , it was a technical internship and hence I wasn’t questioned much about it.
